After the website is published, you can edit the content of your website anytime. There's no technical headaches since what you will see is only the page and post editors.
Editing content in the WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg) is a modular process where every element—text, images, and videos—is its own "block" that you can customize individually.
1. Navigating and Selecting Blocks
Select a block: Click directly on any element (like a paragraph or image) to activate it.
Use List View: Click the three horizontal lines icon in the top-left toolbar to see a hierarchical list of all blocks on your page. This is the easiest way to find and select nested or overlapping blocks.
Quick Switch: Use Escape to switch to "Select" mode and Enter to return to "Edit" mode.
2. Editing Text and Media
Direct Editing: For text blocks (Paragraphs, Headings), simply click and start typing. You can use the floating toolbar that appears above the block to bold, italicize, or add links.
Replace Media: For Image or Video blocks, click the Replace button in the block toolbar to upload a new file or select one from your WordPress Media Library.
Transform Blocks: Click the block type icon on the far left of the toolbar to convert a block into another type (e.g., changing a Paragraph into a Heading or Quote).
3. Customizing Styles and Settings
Settings Sidebar: Click the cog (gear) icon in the top-right corner to open the sidebar. Select the Block tab to access advanced options like text size, colors, background, and dimensions (padding/margins).
Rearrange Blocks:
Use the up/down arrows in the block toolbar to move a block one space at a time.
Drag the six-dot handle on the toolbar to manually reposition the block.
Delete or Duplicate: Click the three vertical dots on the block toolbar for options like Duplicate, Copy, or Delete.
